One Month Old!

Today Felix is one Month old! He's been home from the hospital for almost two weeks and we've survived. More importantly, I have survived! Phil started traveling again this week to Chicago and I had to brave it alone. I think I did pretty well if I do say so myself. I mean I only occasionally showered and we wouldn't emerge from the bedroom in the morning until 11 or 12, but I did ok.

Felix is still in newborn mode, but making strides to becoming a full fledged infant. He sleeps most of the time...except for occasional bouts of alertness, some of which occur during the middle of the night. He hates getting his diaper changed and don't even think about changing his clothes and trying to get that onesie over his head. Boy does he hate that. So other than those moments on the changing table he's a pretty calm guy. We took him to the pediatrician to get weighed on Monday and he's 7lbs! We will take him in again this week for his one month check-up, so hopefully he's still steadily gaining.

Here are some pictures for your enjoyment.

We have to give a big shout out to Nana and Grandma Rita for their help.  Felix loves his grandmothers!

Oh and without further ado, I would like to introduce you to Felix's webbed toes! He has two toes that are partially webbed on both feet. It took us about a week after his birth for us to notice those. They're pretty funny. Apparently it comes from the Singer side of the family. We sure hope he doesn't resent his genes for giving him these babies, we'll just have to keep telling him that he'll appreciate them when he's at a party and they play two truths and a lie....it's a conversation starter.

  1. i thought his nose was my most favorite part, but it is definitely now the toes! i have cousins with webbed toes, and i remember being very jealous that mine were "normal." ha!
he looks great, jen. i think it's the 11a start of the day that's doing it for him.
