Our UT Trip: Part 1

At the end of June we flew out to UT for a Clark family reunion in Heber. My parents just built a house up there, so it was a perfect spot to get the family together. Before the reunion officially started we decided to do a few things with just the three of us.

First up, the Heber Creeper Dinosaur Train! Two of Felix's favorite things in one. It would be the perfect trifecta if it was a Dinosaur Train Truck, but you can't ask for perfection when it was already close to perfect. Felix had a blast, despite the heat.  It was basically a shorter train ride geared towards toddlers with dancing dinosaurs going up and down the train. Which for Felix was great.

By the end Felix was getting pretty tired and for once the heat seamed to affect him!

Our next family adventure was Cascade Springs. Cascade Springs is where Phil and I took our first picture together as a couple. We look like babies.

So we thought we would explore the fun springs and walkways with Felix and "hike" a bit. It was perfect for Felix's little legs.

Sporting the reunion shirts! (now that I think about it, I think this little day trip was during the reunion on a free morning)

I just love F's face in this one. "No, up the hill Daddy, up!"

I just love these two.

This was the only flower of its kind that I saw on our walk.

And I caught a good pic of this little guy as we were heading back to the car. I would not describe myself as a "nature lover", but I sure do love these moments when I'm reminded of the beauty, grandeur and simplicity that surrounds us. Thanks Mr. Butterfly.
