Picture Dump

I finally figured out how to get the pictures on my phone to our computer. Here's what's been going on the last few months according to my phone (all of Felix because, let's be honest, there isn't anything more exciting than him!)...

Hanging out on the floor before he learned how to move around

First ride on the swings

First taste of real food

Hanging out with Andy Warhol

Hanging at the Detroit Institute of Art

 Hiding

 Lounging

Exploring his Christmas present from Mike, Hannah and Sam

Destroying the bells at the library playgroup

Happily shopping at Costco

Playing at Lizzy's house

 Exploring underneath the table

Destroying the book shelves

Out to dinner with Mom and Dad

Playing with the kitchen cupboards

chewing the edge of the computer desk

Going without pants

And finally, looking extremely large and tall standing by his chair.

9 Months!

Saturday marked Felix's 9 month birthday and yesterday we took him to the doctor's for a check-up. Here are his stats:

Weight: 22 lbs. 11 oz., 80th percentile (that's about 4 lbs in 3 months!)
Height: 30.6 in, 97th percentile (up from 28.25")

He's still a big boy!

These pictures were taken today. I can't seem to get a good picture because he seems more interested in trying to grab the camera from me. But you can still see how cute he is!!

P.S. And in other good news, his top teeth are starting to poke their little heads out!

MLK Day

Yesterday Phil had the day off for Martin Luther King Day. We thought we would take advantage and do some Michigan sight seeing. We opted for The Henry Ford Museum since it was free for the holiday. It was awesome. Henry Ford amassed a lot of historical objects and now the public gets to see them. We got to see awesome things such as the car JFK was assassinated in, the chair Lincoln was assassinated in, and the bus in which Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat. There were a lot of cool things to see. On top of that there's a huge collection of trains, planes and cars.

We kept saying over and over again that if Felix were a few years older he would love it. But, he seemed to enjoy himself by occupying his time chewing the strap on his stroller.

He was actually surprisingly well-behaved. Since he's so mobile now crawling and standing up its harder and harder to keep him still (i.e. 3 hours of church). But I think as long as he could chew on something and he had things to look at he was just fine!
